The View - Shock Horror
The View - Shock Horror
This latest single by The View provides little surprise and a lot of dismay and boredom. It’s a typical release by these soulless wannabes. I’ve heard stories of The View when they were supporting a now lesser known band. After the gig they sat in the toilets playing Libertines covers and kicking urinals off the wall ‘for the crack’! It seems that they haven’t grown out of this faux-shambolic attitude, and their music hasn’t developed much either. Their desperate inclusion of the piano to diversify their otherwise guitar-laden song shouldn’t fool anybody, as it provides little solace from the repetitive guitar riffs. The vocals again try to give the song a shambolic edge with shouting, and spitting down the microphone. Oh, and the lead singers voice is just annoying.
They still haven’t grown up from impersonating the Libertines badly and this single gives me no hope for their forthcoming album Which Bitch.
.... It’s just not cool.
