Hank - The Luck of the Singers
Hank - The Luck of the Singers
There are no two ways about it - this album is awesome.
From the incision of the synths into the acoustic beginnings of the first track, 'The Sun Shines At Your Door', I sensed this was going to be something special, and I wasn't let down. The album ranges from this exhilarating start to the rather weird (and that is definitely a compliment) of 'People Look Up', to the cute melodies of 'Never Have Another Boy In My Life', to the simply beautiful 'Exclusive Plot'.
There were very few low points on this brilliant album; a couple of songs were a little weak in comparison to the rest of the album, but then every artist (with the exception of Final Fantasy) is bound to have the odd weak track or two. Those of you who tuned in to Super Strings Theory on Saturday will have had the pleasure of hearing us play 'Threw Me', but the rest of you can pick up some Hank tracks at weepingtruckers.com.
