DATES: Thursday 15th March, 2007
TIME: 7.30 p.m. - 12.00 a.m.
PRICE: £4 before 9.00 p.m., £5 after.
Here is what the organisers of the event have to say:
Last time was fantastic, we all had a lot of fun. This time we're doing it again with some VERY good bands and music. Its gunna be righteous.
KID CARPET headlines
Kid Carpet has toured with the likes of Go! Team, Hot Chip and Cut Copy, as well as produced re-mixes for the likes of the Holloways, Polysics and Fat boy slim. Making the finest electro child noise and beats that you're ever bound to hear, Kid Carpet's famous use of children's instruments to make his tracks has been expanded this time. Touring again supporting his The Kids Back E.P, this'll be so much fun that you'll be screaming uncontrolably. We're excited.
SUPPORT FROM:
Indigo Child - The finest young progressive psychedelic indie rock I've ever heard. Moon boots, big hair, other great clothes and one of the best new live bands that's been unearthed this year. (One part UCL by the way.)
Futureyouth - We're calling this nu-shoegaze, and we dont care if you dont know what we mean. Electronic drum kits, glockenspiels, synths, guitars and lofi melodies. They're good innit. My Bloody Valentine, Yo le tengo, Pavement sort of sounds.
Pack of Wolves - Punchfight changed their name! This is better though, ay? UCL's attempt to an art-rock supergrass are bloody good, brilliant live and haven't played for AGES. They've been rehearsing loads and are now apparently at least 40 % better.
'they look like The Strokes, sound like XTC and have the 'savoir fair' of Adam and The Ants, so get your friggin' hair cut and do your French homework , kiss some girls and sign Pack of Wolves if you run a record label cos they are gonna seduce the next generation' - ARTROCKER
There will be Rare FM DJs all night in the bar upstairs.
Drinks offers, a stone's throw from Centre Point. This is our town....
Support creative UCL people trying to put on good nights, and playing in bands, DJing, etc. Get down.
